This is awesome news. No wonder Woods is in the mountains. Kevlar vests for everyone!
Agreed. Liz is a terrific writer, reporter and columnist and knows the city as well as anyone.
Nice coup for Chris Ferrell as well.
A few things not to expect in Liz's column:
Use of the word "however."
Semicolons.
Use of the word "like" as a preposition meaning "such as," even though it's an accepted usage in Merriam Webster.
Split infinitives.
Up-to-the-minute analysis of Beyoncé's career.
Chrsitine Kreyling. Walter Jowers. Liz Garrigan. Way to go City Paper. I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.
According to reports, her column will be called "Broad Logic." Interesting choice from
someone who bristles at the hint of sexism.Perhaps two children have broadened her perspective. :-) xox to Liz / HW.
Speaking from the perspective of a mother of two, having children will broaden a few things, including your perspective. I don't mind being called a broad if it's preceded by 'hot' and not 'old.'
Liz has the rare gift of tearing down local leaders--while still getting them to call her back. It's great to see her back in the fold.
