Sen. Ramsey's appointments are no different than all the others made by those in appointing positions in this state. I'm sorry the writer always thinks the Republicans are the only ones that behave in this manner. The precedent set over the last 50 yrs. is not a very high bar to attempt to exceed. When did "Bible Buddies" become a disqualifier for appointments or ridicule. Do "Sour Mash Buddies" make one more qualified.
How does that station stay on the air? I thought religious organizations were not supposed to support a particular political agenda. Yet anytime I listen I hear Obama-evil-communism-OMG talk on there.
While he might be able to regulate himslef now, the FCC and IRS might differ with his status as a "religious broadcaster".
This is an excellent example of objective journalism, and one of the reasons the Nashville Scene is the free-for-the-taking rag that it is. If this latest appointment were of any religious persuasion other than Christian this wouldn't even be a story.
But, the haters of the right see a man with ideals that differ from their own and insinuate the guy is a nutjob and that his media outlet is wacky. What about this particular media outlet? How does it justify being a legitimate source where Dr, Hill's gets to be ridiculed?
Come on libs. Let's be consistent. Oh, I forgot that ya'll have a hard time filling that bill.

Let see: The "doctorate" distance learning degree that Kenneth C. Hill holds is from a questionable institution that is accreditted by a non-recognized accreditation entity;
Kenneth C. Hill has repeatedly filed affidavits under penalty of federal law with the Federal Communications Commission pertaining to his Informational Communications Corporation (d.b.a. WPWT 870 AM et al)ownership iformation, that he is "American Indian/Alska Native", all the while records for his 1983 submitted application for a Tennessee Voter Registration Card reveals that the elder Hill is in fact white ("W"), meaning that he has been repeatedly lying to the FCC about this matter.

Filings for daddy Hill's organization
http://impeachmatthewhill.blogspot.com/2005/07/filings-for-daddy-hills-organization.html
OMG! it's a very good thing that Dr. Hill isn't a gay albino pigmy christian father of a State Legislator. Woods you would know who to slander.
If you are seriously looking for nepotism in State Government jobs and appointments, you might want to begin in the Democratic Party side of the ailse. That's whose been receiving them ever since I've been around.
Meanwhile Kenneth Hill ought to do fine job.
He is a bright man, as well as a licensed mediator and a patriot.
It's a good thing the Dem party has such a spotless reputation when it comes to voter registration and the likes.
(See: Chicago)
I wonder when voters will figure out that Ron Ramsey will sell his soul if necessary to win a vote.
oldwoman2.......... Like that kind of stuff don't happen in your party. Obama is in the back pocket of ACORN which has enough corrupt political influence to dwarf what is essentially a situation of being a political appointee. How come if a democrat appoints someone to a position it's a good thing, a right thing? But let a republican give someone the position of dog catcher and you want to launch a probe and find out what is the motivation behind it?
You people are such hypocritical morons.
Do you suppose that Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey and his desginated Tennessee Regulatory Authority nominee Kenneth C. Hill will also be bringing Hill's non-TNGA member son (press secretary to former U.S. Rep. David Davis, Timothy A. Hill) into another soft, cushy job for extreme right-wing radio evangelists at the TRA?:

"U.S. Rep. David Davis’ press secretary has acknowledged using a congressional office computer to delete unflattering information about his boss and his brother from biographies on an Internet encyclopedia.
The efforts of Timothy Hill have been deemed “blanking vandalism” by an editor for Wikipedia who detected the alterations to articles about Davis and state Rep. Matthew Hill, R-Jonesboro. The state Democratic Party also criticizes the changes.
Hill said in an interview that he made a mistake that would not be repeated. He said he was not familiar with Wikipedia and its procedures and was simply trying to perform his job."

"What follows here is the segment of Wikipedia page history for the time and date during 2007 when ex-congressional press secretary Timothy Hill was utlizing a computer from with the U.S. House of Representatives offices of former U.S. Rep. David Davis to "edit" the Wikipedia bio web page of his brother, Tennessee State Rep. Matthew Hill (information below does not include history for Timothy Hill removing refeenced text from the Wikipedia page for U.S. Rep. David Davis) --- as Wikipedia articles are "dynamic" (always changing from edits), the news media would most often post links to these dynamic Wikipedia articles hacked by Hill instead of hyperlinking back to the static (non-changing) Wikipedia articles listed within the article history:"
Hey all of you right wing fundamentalist so called Christian cry babies. Complaining that the other side does not expose the EEEVVVVIILLL DEMOCRATS is no argument against DOCTOR HILL's fake Academic Doctorate and fake Indian Status. Why don't you do what the bracelets you wear say, i.e., WWJD? Instead of attacking those that attack you, why don't you ask your so called brethren Dr. Hill why he lied about being an American Indian and why don't you ask him about why he is using the title DOCTOR (see Tennessee Code Annotated above) in obtaining a government position?? ANSWER: Most of you don't believe in what Jesus says, but alternatively apparently use this safe monikor, i.e., "I'm a Christian" to obtain political power. Do I remember somewhere about Jesus turning down political power? Answer those questions you Hypocritical minions of Dr. Hill.....
BREAKING NEWS - You might have thought that it would be a new full-time job for the radio evangelist from Bristol, Tennessee, but the Tenneessee Regulatory Authority position that Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey has nominated the bogus "American Indian" and "Doctor" pays a breasth-taking $150,000 per year --- and here is the rub: these goddamed jerk-off TRA directors only meet twice per month (Tennessee taxpayers will be paying Hill over $6,000 dollars per meeting...
This information about the compensation and work day requirements of the TRA Directors is not published in the TRA annual reports but you have to call Nashville and speak to the TRA public relations spokes person...
How come the Tennesse Regulatory Authority drum-beating bio fails to disclose that TRA Director Kenneth C. Hill is a State Executive Committee Member of the Tennessee Republican Party.
And despite what you may read elsewhere about Hill having a laser beam focus for several years with obtaining political appointment to the Tennessee Regulatory Authority, his wasn't the first and only political plum job that Hill tried to obtain through party connections - Hill sought (and former U.S. Senator Bill Frist unsuccessfully nominated Hill for) selection as a commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission.
