On National Public Radio's
All Things Considered yesterday, host Robert Siegel spoke with Dr. William Schaffner, chairman of Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Department of Preventive Medicine, about the swine flu outbreak and the potential dangers it poses here in the U.S.
You can hear the entire segment here. (Click on the blue "Listen Now" link.)
Schaffner was the hospital epidemiologist at Vanderbilt University Hospital for nearly 30 years, so we can only assume he knows a thing or two about contagious diseases. And for those of our readers who feel NPR is just a cog in the vast left-wing conspiracy to turn our nation into a bastion of Volvo-driving, Obama-loving socialists, you can rest assured that the broadcast is 100 percent free of any references to global warming, racial diversity, reparations or arugula. And please don't take the term "swine" personally.
