Here's the official video touting Nashville's proposed convention center. Notice how it takes special pains to imply the project's prompted by popular citizen demand.

Popular citizen demand, BULLSHIT. I wonder if the people behind this realize how much the citizens will fight once they ALL know it's going to actually go forward. If I were a city politician or business leader who was behind this, I would not focus on how this plan will effect our economy, I would start watching my career because this will surely ruin more things than our economy. The AIG Nashville Convention Center, $500,000,000.00 and climbing.
