Tonight at Nashville Film Festival: Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills'

As part of its 40-year retrospective, the Nashville Film Festival will show Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky's 1996 film Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills, which chronicles the grisly killings and outrageous subsequent trial that started the West Memphis Three saga. The murder and sexual mutilation of three young boys may not be date-night appropriate material. But you'd be hard pressed to find any movie that better demonstrates the truth-to-power potential of documentary film making.

A third Paradise Lost film will reportedly be shown on HBO later this year. Get caught up by catching the first installment tonight.

HBO have not made a third film, nor will they be. The show is over for Joe and Bruce.
