What's worse than being surrounded by hundreds of placard-holding Tea Party'ers on an unseasonably cold April afternoon? Watching a choppy feed of it online instead.
Kudos to
Tennessean for setting up some sort of
webcam outside of War Memorial Plaza. Unfortunately, a slow connection and poor mic quality makes for an experience not unlike being forced to watch slides of the same dreary protest over and over and over. While underwater.
S-Town Mike over at
Enclave has it right when he says this is precisely the kind of event made for new media. Nashvillest's
Twitter feed was the first to break the news that a couple thousand Tea Party'ers had filled LP Field. We'd ask someone to confirm that number but this is just a blog. And blogs are sooooooooooo 2008.
