What's worse than being surrounded by hundreds of placard-holding Tea Party'ers on an unseasonably cold April afternoon? Watching a choppy feed of it online instead. Kudos to Tennessean for setting up some sort of webcam outside of War Memorial Plaza. Unfortunately, a slow connection and poor mic quality makes for an experience not unlike being forced to watch slides of the same dreary protest over and over and over. While underwater. S-Town Mike over at Enclave has it right when he says this is precisely the kind of event made for new media. Nashvillest's Twitter feed was the first to break the news that a couple thousand Tea Party'ers had filled LP Field. We'd ask someone to confirm that number but this is just a blog. And blogs are sooooooooooo 2008.

Don't these people have jobs and don't they realize there are others who do and are trying to work downtown? The horn honking is driving them mad and reducing productivity in state government. Gasp - the tea baggers are causing tax money to be wasted. Let me guess that Phil (I talk through my nose and hate Mexicans) Valentine is leading the charge. As was said about Madeline O'Hare: Don't get caught between Phil (I talk through my nose and hate Mexicans) Valentine and a camera!
