Film Coming Attractions, 2009 Nashville Film Festival: 'I'm Gonna Explode'

I really liked Mexican director Gerardo Naranjo's previous film Drama/Mex, a striking degrees-of-separation drama set in a seedy Acapulco you can't find in a Frommer's guide. His new film, a fast and furious tale of adolescent amor loco, was described by Spout's reliable Karina Longworth as a "contemporary Mexican teenage Pierrot le Fou"--a virtual synonym for "coolest movie ever." It screens one night only, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21.
