Mailmen have their nemeses: Slavering hounds. Nashville pizza delivery folk have vacant homes on Edwin Street concealing teenage gunmen.

Such was the case Saturday night when a pizza delivery man arrived at a vacant house. When he knocked on the door, police say two gunmen drew down on him and robbed him of his money and car keys, making off with his Pontiac Bonneville.

Early the next morning, a detective in an unmarked car saw the Pontiac traveling down Douglas Avenue. So began a short-lived chase. Within minutes all four of the car's occupants bailed. But a police dog tracked down and sunk its teeth into 15-year-old Starolyn Macon, who was treated for the bite and booked into juvenile detention.

Macon is being charged on suspicion of carjacking, evading arrest and violating curfew in connection with the robbery. Police continue to search for his accomplices.

If BH means Edwin Avenue instead of Edwin Street, then the neighborhood in question would be just south of Trinity Lane & between Dickerson Pike & Ellington Parkway.
We really need to do something *cough*short-rope-tall-tree*cough* about these thugs who prey on pizza delivery guys & taxi-cab drivers & the like.

Too bad he's a juvenile so there's no mug shot. I wonder what race he is. I'll bet they represent 1/4 the population of the US, yet 4/4 of the population of that stolen car.

My brother delivers pizza in Nashville and am really worried about him. His coworker was robbed recently at gunpoint. His pizza joint is the only ones that deliver to these housing projects. I told him its not worth risking his life for 8 bucks and hr and crappy or no tips. I hope he finds a new job.
