Doesn't matter what they are called , once again Toby will be bringing in the money.
I think I sense a lot of jealousy as far as Toby is concerned , seems everything he does turns to gold for him and people just can't handle it.
Toby Keith is the best songwriter/singer
out there and that's right, people can't
handle his success. He's had so many #1
hits and he is one of the top entertainers
out there and he never gets the recognition
that he deserves.
Then these people come along and write
all this stuff that isn't true about Toby.
It just isn't right.

Is it easy to bash Toby Keith just because it's Toby Keith. You might want to keep in mind how you would feel if someone stuck a newspaper in your face with a story filled with untruths about you or a member of your family. This is not about Toby Keith, it's about reckless reporting.
I think Toby showed a lot of restraint. If someone had printed lies like that about me, I would be just as upset as Toby.
Anyone who was spoken of in an article in such a derrogatory manner would be upset. If you watch the video on cmt.com you will see that Toby Keith did not rant and rave at Peter Cooper. He was very angry but contained his anger very well. I don't curse but I believe I may have used some of the same words Toby did in the same situation. And you can't judge his career by one song. He has had 25 No. 1 hits not to mention all of the songs he has recorded that may not have been released as singles but well could have been and had they had been would have also been big hits. Only one song had the term "boot in the ass" in it. But out of their ignorance that's the song his detractors always point to.
First off any honest and good reporter should back up their story by following through to make sure it is truthful. What happened is unfortunate that the reporter did not make sure the source was truthful, not fiction as has been proved my the 3 men in which the article was written about. It appears that Cooper needs to write a rebuttal as well as Hawke in the Rolling Stone magazine that addresses the error of the story and Hawke whom the story was originally told by should apologize to the 3 men whom he defamed with his fictional story.

And apparently rebuttals for reckless reporting can be trifling items that appear to turn one's back to what would be the up-standing thing to do. Shame on your Peter for your off-handed "apology". But you have to sleep with your conscience at night. Glad I'm not you. Read Peter Cooper's response to being nailed as a "less than truthful" reporter...

Regarding the Ethan Hawke-penned Kris Kristofferson article that Toby Keith is so upset about, Rolling Stone spokesperson Mark Neschis said, "We stand fully behind our reporting and our fact checking."
So, a (hopefully) final recap:
Rolling Stone has an article about Kris Kristofferson, and in that article there's a scene in which Toby and Kris have a very heated argument. Ethan Hawke wrote the story, and he says he was there at the scene.
Toby says the story is a lie, and he cursed me up and down for reporting that the story existed and for doing so in a playful manner. Rolling Stone stands by its reporting. Kris says he doesn't remember."
Pretty pitiful, huh. Man up and admit that you blew it. You certainly did admit to screwing up when you were being given that wonderful verbal beat down by Toby in front of your peers. As was stated by rcm516 said, "This is not about Toby Keith, it's about reckless reporting."

Beer For My Horses was one of the biggest commercial FLOPS ever released; Toby Dick's acting has to be the worst I've ever seen in my life!
I'd love to Super-Size my fist right through his fat mouth.Keith has more arrogance and conceitedness than any other person in country music; and his lyrics are so childish and immature---but HE thinks they are great-doesn't he????
Who "Super Size French Fried" the hate on here? And why does Toby's success irk so many? Cause you'll never have it? Or is it because he does things his way and you aren't strong enough to jump out there and do it yourself on your own? Just curious why he evokes such a strong nastiness in some? Is it just your nature to be hateful? Or do you think that it's "clever" to be nasty as you hide behind anonymity on a website?
Those who don't like Toby will never "get it" and trying to explain why we like him so much will never be understood. Kinda like I don't like football, and no amount of telling me it's attributes will convince me otherwise. But I'm NOT hateful about football OR those who like it...I just move along.
I do however require that those who have the honor to be members of the "free press" understand their responsibilities and report as actual journalists with strong journalist ethics and not in the manner of someone blasting whatever they want to create on their individual blog.
But...if you are gonna diss him about the awards show deal-i-o, get the facts right...Toby left the awards show with WILLIE NELSON, not to go whine in a bar and get drunk...
As for Beer For My Horses, was written for his fans, and of course we love it. DVD sales have been damn fine too!

And to Jack Meoff, it's easy to post on a blog saying you'd put your fist through his mouth. If confronted by the man, you'd quake like a little puppy and back-peddle like Cooper does in the video.
Well Jack Meoff it must be good since he has so many #1s now doesnt it and if it was a lie I would Have been ten times worse than Toby was in that video Toby was actually really calm!
"Chillout" is right. Those that dis TK don't ever say anything in their post that's true. (ex: Tristan) They're just other folks that want to take away from someone elses success. TK made the movie for fun, it's not about being a great actor. It's about doing something because you can.. Plus the fans liked it, and thats all that mattered. Why not..right?
