I will definitely be sending my fellow handgun carry permit holder some money. Sad that The Scene made so many insulting comments about people like her in the lead up to her tragic death.
Perhaps you guys owe her an apology?
Classy, Kevin. For a moment we were afraid you wouldn't seize the opportunity of someone's loss to try to score some cheap polemical points. Ten bucks says you not only keep a receipt for the dough but try to take it off next year's taxes.
This is a horrible tragedy and my heart goes out to the widow. And I am NOT in the insurance business but be aware that you can get life insurance without a job, for very little. I would think 15 bucks a month would have provided his widow with $25,000 or so, more than enough for a funeral and to pay off some bills. I am not pointing fingers, just thinking that people might use this horrible situation to learn some beneficial things for themselves.
When people are laid of and are trying to make enough money to cover bills, their last concern is usually bot purchasing life insurance, as we never anticipate such a thing to occur. $15 may not seem like much to some, but everything adds up...
it is unfortunate, but it is a big part of real life, a lot of people don't carry insurances...because of the cost...
