"I am a little concerned about what's happening with the party.""When you have the Democratic governor who's not unpopular at the moment and virtually all the Democratic congressmen having some strong preferences on the thing, you'd think people would listen to that a little bit, but they didn't."
"The person they chose to be the treasurer worked very hard against me. So he's not somebody that immediately when he calls up and says, 'I now want your help raising money,' that you say, 'Oh, OK.'"
Forrester says he isn't sure whether Freeman's resignation will smooth things over or merely whet critics' appetite for his own head. He's hoping though. He really is.
"I would hope that with Bill's resignation and some of the concerns that people had about Bill that that might open up things and make things a little easier. That's certainly my hope."

Damn those blog trolls! There they go again ... Oh no, wait ... It's not trolls this time. It's the Governor. Who's no doubt reflecting the concerns of the congressmen and many legislators, too. In a major daily newspaper. Chip is screwed. The TNDP is dead.

Even though their lord and master is now being hammered publicly by the most-powerful Democrat in the state. Guess benintotaldenial and LeftHandWanker will soon be pounding their little fists on the table and bawling their little eyes out. "Bredesen is a mean man!"
As Morpheus pointed out at Post Politcs (yeah, Harrison, we're him, too.) good for Bredesen for not going along with Chipper and Odum selling the Democrat Party to sleazy real estate millionaires. Bredesen is the only Democrat in this state with half a brain.
