Why Aren't We Doing Anything About FEMA's Concentration Camps?

Posted by Pete Kotz on Thu, Mar 26, 2009 at 12:22 PM

If you're a fan of Fox News, surely you know of Glenn Beck, budding cable superstar and conspiracy theorist extraordinaire. One of his latest rants is that FEMA may be setting up concentration camps nationwide to enslave us in the event of untold weirdness. (See video above.) Beck, of course, has no proof. And FEMA struggles to even throw up a proper trailer court, much less a covert national prison system. But in these dark times, mere suspicion makes for really good talk television. So where is the Tennessee legislature on this? We've rightfully jump on the Obama Is An Illegal Alien conspiracy, and we've also uncloaked the God's Gonna Throw Your Ass in the Ocean If You Don't Stop Being Nice to the Gay Guys conspiracy. Yet for some reason, our leaders have been silent on the concentration camp issue. Could it be that the usual defenders of truth have been co-opted by the government? Why have we heard nothing from the Shipley-Hill-Campfield Axis of Virtue? Could they -- gasp! -- be in league with the Jews? Someone should get to the bottom of this.

ummm... did you watch the video you put at the top of your story?
Glen says he's heard the rumor and he's trying to get to the bottom of it, but he can't confirm ANYTHING at this point. He says it at the beginning of the clip. He says it in the middle, and he says it again as he's interviewing Ron Paul.
But hey, keep going with the meme that Glen is a conspiracy-theory nut-case.
We'll know shortly who's credibility gets hurts. My money is on glen.

i just knew someone would have to jump in and defend Beck. The very fact that he would raise this nonsense on national TV, without any proof that such an outlandish premise has ANYTHING to support it, indicates one of three things: He's completely nuts, he's desperately courting the true tin-foil hat wearing fringe element (is this who advertisers are trying to reach?) or that he's ginning up fear, the standard right wing cudgel to use when one has no substantive ideas for improving our current malaise. I'm guessing the latter.

He cried on TV! How can you doubt his sincerity?!

I really DON'T want to fan the flames on this as-yet-unsubstantiated rumor.
But apparently it was all the rage when Bush was still President. Hearst Communications and the San Francisco Chronicle ran a story in Feb. of 2008 referring to FEMA detention centers.

I know, California nut cases and all that. Still think Glen is being irresponsible to say he's trying to get to the bottom of the rumors?

Badly written persuasive article if you ask me. Glenn Beck reports on things that I've seen only hidden in the internet during my long night shifts at work. He talks about all this stuff, including the Federal reserve, not too long after I study up on the subjects, like he is following my learning pattern in a way lol. My point is, he is reporting on things, that DO have merit, ARE talked about, and screw anyone who tries to pounce on a guy who doesn't talk about the same lame, repeated information as every other news show. There are a lot of signs to follow... Look around! Ron Paul started Glenn Becks turn to reality I might add. Ron Paul is what brought me to understand government much more, and to understand just how wrong other politicians are about bail-outs, and EVERYTHING else.

You know, Leftists (which actually DOES include the National Socialist Workers Party of German in the 30's and 40's) have a long, documented record of using such camps as a method of silencing political challenges.
Now again (c'mon liberals just TRY to listen to the whole clip...Glenn actually says he "doesn't believe" in the FEMA rumor, and he says it's "irresponsible not to debunk the theory". He very much says it is a rumor, and he qualifies that rumor---and does not endorse it. Many of you liberals LIKE THE PEOPLE YOU VOTE FOR...don't read, don't look, don't listen---you just shoot off you pie-hole based on your ignorant impression.
That said, a buddy of mine is FBI, and told me to watch for a large government procurement order for concertina wire. So, the rumors abound. And if electronic bookburning is okay (Fairness Doctrine [like campus PC speech codes intended to suppress conservatives), "re-education camps" might not be that far off either. So, we shouldn't be wary...is that what you Lefties are saying? Americans should NEVER trust a liberal.

That is exactly what will happen in the future.
