Jim Cramer: He's Just as Dumb as We Are

Posted by Pete Kotz on Thu, Mar 12, 2009 at 5:54 AM

It's hard pretending to be smart these days. While it's easy to sound vaguely intelligent while talking about things like war, unemployment or the health care system, not so much when it comes to conversations about the stimulus package. You've been there, right? Someone says to you, "Hey, whattaya think of that stimulus package?" Suddenly you're forced to either parrot the last thing you heard on cable, or blunder through your own half-baked take. You look like a dope. Not even you understand what you're saying. After all, who has a real grasp of macroeconomics? But here's the upside: You have company in your ignorance. Take Jim Cramer, who's got a job yelling on CNBC. As America's Leading Newsman Jon Stewart notes above, even the guys who are supposed to know this are just as dumb as you.

Is anyone watching Cramer on The Daily Show right now? This is the most brutal interview I've ever seen. Stewart is like the freakin' executioner, and Cramer is begging for his life. This is squirmier than Chris Matthews clubbing the guy who didn't know anything about Neville Chamberlain.
