Poor Republicans. When they elected a youngish black dude the head of the RNC they probably thought they'd get someone who was with it, whatever that means.

Michael Steele has been doing everything in his power to change the image of the Grand Old Party. He's even dropped a couple my bads in an effort to show that Republicans aren't out of touch old dudes. Then he went and sent an e-mail asking for help with the GOP's new website.

(For a primer, think of the lamest empty tech rhetoric you've ever heard. Then double it.)

"Bottom line is if we haven't done it -- let's do it. If we haven't thought of it -- think of it. If it hasn't been tried -- why not? If it's going to be 'outside the box' -- then not only keep it outside the box, but take it to someplace the box hasn't even reached yet."

It's like listening to a guy who was just briefed on the internet try to rally the troops. Tech-savvy Republicans know that Democrats ran circles around them in online fundraising last November. And they aren't pulling punches:

This is the new, high-tech-savvy GOP? This is the kind of in-depth attention to leveraging technology that the refurbished, Michel Steele RNC has planned?

This is a travesty. And it's sad.

On the bright side, at least Steele proved that being out of touch isn't strictly the domain of old white dudes. Behold, Obama's post-race utopia is upon us!

If Michael Steele classifies as "youngish" for a Republican, then they've got deeper issues with young people than we currently envisioned. He still qualifies as a black dude though. ;)

Dump Steele! We don't need his "hip hop" Obama loving plans. Libs are so afraid of Rush Limbaugh, that should be who is running the RNC. Rush would show them who's boss and get this party back on track.
