Let's Be Thankful for Phil Bredesen's Sweet Comb-Over

Question if you will Phil Bredesen's rusting heart when it comes to the unemployed, but he does have one irrefutable thing going for him: His comb-over is sweet.

Get a load of the subtlety and understatement he's rocking. He launches early at the 45 degree mark of his head, but it's not one of those sweeping things like Bill Murray in that bowling movie. Nor is the Varmint Stuck to My Head variety worked by Donald Trump.

Phil's is more of a plastered, unambitious thing. It says to the world, "Yeah, I'm balding, but I'm only partially self-conscious about it, and certainly not as weird as Trump is."

In these difficult times, it's important to actively search out the brighter side of our lives. Phil Bredesen's comb over is something we can all get behind.

I long for the days of Dobie and Garrigan. Snarky comments in the Scene were commonplace, but at least they were couched in actual reporting and analysis as opposed to this sophomoric crap.

Amen. I never thought I'd miss Garrigan, but jeez. No wonder newspapers are in trouble. This sounds like something a 20 year old sticks on a myspace page.

Now why would you want to go and insult 20 year olds by comparing them to these twits?

Not to worry, peeps. The Scene probably won't be around past another year. I hear advertising is down so far they are sending people in the ad department home early.
This used to be a really good read.

Kotz, you little prick. Do you pick on the fat kids in school, too? What is your point with this post, other than to confirm your irrelevance?
