"I think he ought to show his birth certificate. If my grandkid wants to play Little League ball, he's got to show a birth certificate. If it's not too much to ask of a Little League baseball player, it's not to much to ask of the president. He ought to go ahead and show it and make everybody shut up. I don't see what the problem is. There's a lot of unanswered questions floating around. I don't think that's asking too much of the most powerful man in the free world. You don't just ignore the Constitution the way the federal government has started doing now. I don't know where Obama was born. Who knows what the truth is these days?"

Right. What difference does it make. If the President does not have to show his, why should I? And that is exactly what I will tell the next employer when asked for my proof of citizenship. If he says that he will not hire me because of my refusal, I might just as well sue.

Well seems to me if it is a "crackpot legal action" as you've claimed it is. It should be relatively easy to dissolve. Produce the document and let's all move on.
If isn't a conspiracy unless you've done something underhanded. As I'm sure this isn't the case it shouldn't be too difficult to produce a document every legal citizen of the United States is in possession of. Here's an even more sobering thought: Our president hasn't proven his citizenship and you support him not doing so.

Why don't these distinguished rocket surgeons offer to resign their seats if Obama produces his birth certificate and everything's in order? That oughta force his hand.
This is all really stupid nonsense, of course. These people are total nutjobs. There has been amle proof of Obama's citizenship, but these black helicopter watching looney toons will never accept any evidence that is produced. We on the outside of the asylum are making a mistake to do anything more than ignore this, laugh at their craziness, and shake our heads at their astonishing level of stupidity.
The serious aspect of all this, though, has nothing to do with this meritless conspiracy theory foolishness. It is the clear evidence of the dangerous ignorance, paranoia, and bottomless hatred of the far right. Talk radio, especially, has convinced these bozos that they are somehow not on the fringes of society. Part of their collective delusion, their mental illness, is that they represent the "real America."
The mentality of these people who deny Obama's citizenship and see a conspirator behind every tree have the same mentality of those who chant "dittos' like doped-up zombies, shoot "liberals" at Unitarian churches in Knoxville, blow up courthouses in Oklahoma City because they hate the government, deny the Holocaust, beat gay men to death in Wyoming, worry about the decline of the "white race." Yes, they are crazy. But they are a real threat to the American way of life. That we have three members of the General Assembly who identify with them is embarrassing, yes. But it is also profoundly disturbing.

How about the real proof, the original birth certificate? When McCain was asked to prove his citizenship, he gladly produced all of his documents.
It's a constitutional requirement to a natural born citizen. I don't understand the Obama supporters that don't feel he need to prove his citizenship. What does he have to hide?
If someone gives me a job paying $400,000 a year, a million dollar expense account, servants, a private jet and helicopter, security detail, everything paid for by the citizens of this country, I damn sure would show my birth certificate. I guess spending almost a million dollars to fight it makes him pretty smart?

The LEGAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE -- which is issued, sealed and endorsed, by the State of Hawaii was "produced" LONG AGO and posted on Obama's web site, on the FactCheck.org web site, and dozens of other web sites. See:

That means that if some crackpot judge actually did order Obama to produce his birth certificate in court, then the same document we've all been looking at since last June is exactly what we would see again.

Of course, the Cert is out there, and has been for month, but the Conspiracy folks have every cocka-mamie rationalization for what is wrong with it, or an alternative "citizen" argument.
There are some interesting discussions on www.obamaconspiracy.org including a very real tongue in cheek interview with a "birther" on what the response would be if there is another doc from the HI folks. The conclusion is that it still would not be believed, so why should Obama pay even the $10.
btw -- one of the documents that Phil Berg has filed with a court to argue that Obama has some other citizenship clearly shows that Obama was born in Honolulu. So - go figure.

Even if Obama WAS born in Honolulu, he may still NOT be a natural born citizen, and therefore NOT eligible to be the President of the United States(POTUS). Watch the video, you may learn something.

"Natural born" means simply that, when you are born, you are born an American citizen. Anyone born on American soil is a natural born American citizen. The status of the parents is irrelevant when the birth takes place in the U.S.
"Naturalized" means you are an immigrant who goes through the process of becoming a citizen.
I learned all of this in elementary school. That you are ignorant is not my problem.

If you are born in the United States, but your parents are NOT U.S. citizens, you are NOT a NATURAL born citizen! You are a NATURALIZED citizen!!!! And even beyond that since your precious Obama has NOT proven he was born in Hawaii, we do NOT KNOW he is a natural born citizen!! There is evidence that Obama became a citizen of Indonesia, which means he gave up his American citizenship. So upon his return to the U.S. if in fact he returned legally, he would then be a NATURALIZED citizen, NOT a NATURAL BORN citizen and NOT ELIGIBLE to be President! Additionally, I don't recall stating what my political leanings are. For all you know I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Obama-hating Republican who simply has an aversion to people with poor writing skills. Obama has spent nearly $600,000 since November to keep the ORIGINAL birth certificate sealed. There is a reason for this. You don't have to be born in Hawaii to get that state to issue a birth certificate. Our first biracial person of color who by his own admission is not black and more white than his arab/asian blood from dad. Dad born on shores of Africa... mom was able to register Obama in Hawaii regardless of where he was born. He has created the mystery. No one recalls matriculating with him at Columbia. He has received everything he has for free essentially. He is a fraud in everyway and proves he is an idiot by what he just signed into law. He doesn't even get Econ 101. All of this is obvious to the average bear. Check the election results and realize what he needed to do to win. You should be terrified. Thank God I have money and work -- so you don't have to. Any of the three versions of posted birth certificates show a date of the computer form used to release the information. None of them is a copy of the certified birth certificate. I am not expected you Obama Kool Aid drinkers to wake up. To date no hospital in any Hawaiin jurisdiction has responded with having a record of his supposed Hawaiin birth. Obama still works to seal the original birth certificate. No conspiracy on the part of those that wish to see that birth cert. We'd also like to see Columbia grades. Do you know how he got into Harvard? Do you know who paid for his education there? Do you know why he doesn't talk about his experience on the Harvard Law Review? Is it coming clear to you that you will never have a check in your mailbox? He is an amoral idiot. I would say that to his face, but I have a life and a beautiful one at that. It's his duty to prove otherwise.
