"I'll probably run again. I can become a Democrat and win speaker of the House but I probably couldn't get elected in my community, but I'm not Democrat. I am a Republican. I have 49 good Democrat friends down there but that's what it is , we're friends. Our philosophies are a little different on some issues. If I'm forced I'll become an independent, but it's a long time until the election. We could have some changes. Hopefully we will some changes in our Tennessee GOP. Maybe we will have someone more level headed, someone who doesn't rule by hate."Update: "My basic response was, 'Bring it on'," Williams says. Update II: State GOP's Mark Winslow: "This is just more victimization from Williams. ... I think you heard today, Robin's determination that this not get personal."

"I called you the devil, but don't take it personally." Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
I kind of love Robin Smith a little bit.
I was on the house floor and heard Robin Smith's remarks. Quite frankly, if she had her concealed gun on her, I think she would have shot Speaker Williams on the spot. And whether her intent was to call Speaker Naifeh or Speaker Williams the devil doesn't really matter. When the majority of legislators vote in any Speaker, respect for the office is demanded, regardless of anyone's personal opinion. Her hatred and immature posturing is an insult to those of us that are truly the Radical Republicans from the days of Lincoln. She behaved more like the Southern Democratic slave owners instead of the Radical Republicans that fought against slavery. Northeast Tennessee was Radical Republicans. She's from Georgia, maybe with Tara ancestors?
