Good news and bad news for Democrats in the latest campaign finance disclosures. The bad news first. Kim McMillan, the darling of those powerful grassroots Democrats, raised a grand total of $8,635. Since she started her exploratory campaign for governor nearly a year ago, she's raised a little more than $100,000 and spent roughly a third of that. Meanwhile, the leading Republican candidate, Bill Haslam, has knocked back about $1.6 million in three weeks. Here's the good news: McMillan certainly isn't scaring anyone out of the Democratic primary. Maybe someone who can actually compete will enter the race.

Uh, Jeff, darling of the grassroots? Hell, how many times have I said she's just Bredesen in a dress?
Besides, the bloggers raised more than a third of what she raised for the period IN THREE DAYS.
Harumph.

How quickly you turn on Kim. One bad financial disclosure, and you're stabbing her in the back.

Woods, the Garrigan-era cynicism died with the election of Barack Obama.
Stop with the snarky asides and stick with some thoughtful analysis. The country is going to hell in a handbasket and we need people educated about the issues, the candidates, and acting like grownups.
Grow the fuck up.

Bredesen never supported the income tax - hence two terms and the love of republicans across the state and the current disaster he has welcomed by his past positions.
McMillan is DOA if nominated because of her support of the income tax.
This is one liberal who wants to leave this resposibility to a republican governor and the idiots who threw rocks and honked horns.
