Good news and bad news for Democrats in the latest campaign finance disclosures
. The bad news first. Kim McMillan, the darling of those powerful grassroots Democrats, raised a grand total of $8,635. Since she started her exploratory campaign for governor nearly a year ago, she's raised a little more than $100,000 and spent roughly a third of that. Meanwhile, the leading Republican candidate, Bill Haslam, has knocked back about $1.6 million in three weeks. Here's the good news: McMillan certainly isn't scaring anyone out of the Democratic primary. Maybe someone who can actually compete will enter the race.
