The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy released an immensely entertaining scorecard today, calculating legislators' greenness based on their votes on key bills. Here are the stats:
Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R)--Voted against bill to repeal oil subsidies. Voted against bills aimed at providing tax credits for energy efficiency. Voted against bill promoting renewable energy sources.
Rep. Zach Wamp (R)--Voted against all of the above except the renewable energy bill. Hates environment with slightly less vigor than Blackburn and doesn't own green voodoo doll filled with pins that says 'ENVIRONMENT.'
Rep. Lincoln Davis (D)--By contrast, Rep. Davis is like the affectionate, loving mother to the environment, while Wamp and Blackburn are more like the neglectful, quasi-abusive nannies.
Rep. Steve Cohen, (D), Rep. Jim Cooper (D)--Also on good terms with the environment.
Who else would like to give Mother Nature matching black eyes?
The alliterative Rep. David Davis (R) and Rep. John Duncan (R), that's who. Anybody notice a pattern here?
