From the No Shit Files: Tests Near TVA Plant Indicate Bad Things

In case common sense already told you that the water in and around Harriman is polluted, guess what? You're right.

The results of tests conducted at the behest of United Mountain Defense and the Environmental Integrity Project have found that levels of arsenic and other toxins exceed regulatory limits in the waters near the TVA Kingston Fossil Plant fly ash spill. Guess that's what happens when you dump 1 billion gallons of toxic sludge into the Emory River.

Water samples were taken from the river, several wells and one pond. The wells were within drinking water standards. Everything else, not so much. This, of course, contradicts the official TVA sputum in the immediate aftermath. Preposterous, I know. What if the Bush administration investigated itself in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina...

Oh shit, that actually happened.
