We get a lot of fundraising letters here at Scene (or as my grandma used to call them, "begging letters"). Usually they're from people of alleged importance in the political arena, or interest groups who desperately need money to stave off the apocalypse that will surely come due to abortion, etc. 
But since Barack Obama became the boss, we're seeing an improved brand of form letter. Or at least an improved figure head who allows his name to be used by a ghost writer.
Yesterday, Morgan Freeman, "son of Memphis," emailed us with an urgent plea to contribute to the national Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Though the next election is nearly two years away, it's never too early to start pumping money into the war chests of the Men With Bulletproof Hair.
"Now the DSCC has already begun the crucial work of recruiting the best 2010 candidates to make sure President Obama has strong Senate support throughout his first term," writes the guy pretending to be Morgan. "Starting strong today is essential to victory on Election Day. And they need our support now to do it right."
So if you want to be Morgan's friend, you should start unloading your credit card here.

HI, I am from Puerto Rico, I just wanto ask some to Sr. Morgan Freeman. When he came to Puerto Rico To film Under suspicion, some interviewer asked to him, What do you Think, about Puertorrican, he answered to her, "The puertorrican are very sad people" and Liza Lugo, inteviwer said to him, no puertorican are not sad people. And until this moment from now, I want to know for what reason he describe us in this manner. My English is not very good. But Morgan Freeman represent to me a very inteligent, and spiritual person. And i need the answer of my question from him as soom as possdible.
