Demorian Bays and Antonio Harris

A suspect in the Paragon Mills Park home invasion and possibly the West Nashville robbery at a Harding Place home has been caught by police.

Demorian Pierre Bays, 20, has been charged with two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping and two counts of aggravated robbery in the Nov. 23 home invasion on Jessie Drive. Bays is one of four armed suspects who rushed two victims as they returned home. After being forced inside, the men stole their bank cards and two left to withdraw money from an ATM while the other two held the victims at gunpoint.

Bays is also being investigated for the West Nashville home invasion that occurred on the same day and shared eerily similar characteristics. After five armed men entered a Harding Place home, they took a father, his daughter and her boyfriend on a harrowing ride to two ATMs in the Green Hills area, then dropped them off unharmed in a subdivision near Hillsboro High School.

The suspects made off with the man's SUV, but it was recovered in the Edge Hill housing projects Dec. 2. Antonio Harris, a 21-year-old parolee, was charged similarly on Dec. 30 in the West Nashville home invasion.
