Joe the Plumber Goes to Gaza, America Quietly Locks the Door Behind Him

Posted by Caleb Hannan on Tue, Jan 13, 2009 at 2:06 PM

I really don't know a whole lot about this interconnected, GLOBAL ECONOMY we've got nowadays. But I do know this: If Joe the Plumber is what amounts for an American export we'd all better start learning Mandarin.

Here's Joe "reporting" on the Israel people (sic his), the unfortunate decline in picnics and why reporters (who are not him) should stay the hell away from war zones and go back to making entertaining, jingoistic talkies he can enjoy before his afternoon matinee.

BTW, what are the chances "asinine" was the entry that morning on Joe's Word-of-the-Day desk calendar?

Did he really say, "I don't think journalists should be anywhere allowed war"? And if so, please interpret.
But I do think he's correct when he says later the media should be abolished from reporting on war. How the hell are we supposed to get away with anything with all those cameras around?
Personally, I love this guy, because he makes me feel so much better about my own qualifications as a journalist.

"Happy for them?" We're supposed to be happy that people are killing each other?
