Nashville police pulled a car over for running a red light last week. The officer asked for identification, but all the man could produce was the foreign identification card of a man named Pablo Araujo. The man who called himself Araujo was 'cuffed and police began a cursory search of the vehicle, turning up a package of sorts. The passenger immediately ratted on "Araujo," tipping police off to the package's contents: $29,000.
The passenger said "Araujo," who actually turned out to be a man named Carlos Valle Catalan, picked him up at the bus station and drove him to a house. Catalan went inside and returned with the package. The passenger was to deliver the package to a man in Dallas. Because the investigation is ongoing, police wouldn't release many detail about the source of the money. But according to Catalan's rap sheet, he's been busted for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
