I'm sure the copyediting budget down there at 1100 Broadway is stretched these days, but this is over the top. (And still uncorrected online at 8:20 am.)

It is corrected now but why your headline? If each of those communities have a horse in this race, there would seven candidates and not three. Oh, you mean there might not be a "local" candidate?

How about the headline for the letter to the editor that suggests Phil Fulmer should go to Mississippi State to coach?
"Maybe Fulmer could go to Old Miss"
First of all, it's Ole Miss. Secondly, MS State is not Ole Miss.

Sueyyy, the point of Bruce's headline was to parody Howard Dean's legendary scream, where he started shouting, "We're going to South Carolina, and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico. We're going to California and Texas and New York. We're going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan. And then we're going to Washington D.C. and take back the White House. YAHHHHH!"
Jack, thanks for the parody interp -- but if I'm not mistaken I do believe the legendary Dean Scream did include a mention of "West Meade" in there, maybe between Arizona and North Dakota...

Thanks for the clarification. I've tried to ignore Howard Dean for at least four years. I just hope he's not one of the three finalists.
