Just when the Times had me dejected about my Southern comrades, I came across this photo, forwarded to me in an email making the rounds. A ray of sunshine in this dark night of the soul.

Ha! This photograph was taken in my hometown in southeastern Indiana! The signs caused quite a stir. The reactions were mostly positive.

North Vernon, Indiana. Several letters to the editor calling for the mayor to have the signs taken down.
