The Center for Media and Public Affairs offers
definitive proof of liberal bias in the media -- at least on the late night talk shows.
Between September 1and October 24, Jay Leno and David Letterman alone cracked 475 jokes about Republicans. During that same period, Barack Obama and Joe Biden got nicked just 69 times. All told, the center found that Republicans were mocked seven times more than Democrats, the highest discrepancy since the center began tracking such matters in 1988.
A few examples:
Letterman: "John McCain said he's going to win (the third presidential debate). Of course, he also told Custer the surge was working."
Leno: "According to a recent poll, 61 percent of people surveyed said they'd rather see Sarah Palin in a bikini than Pamela Anderson. Although 99 percent said they'd rather see Pamela Anderson as vice president."
Meanwhile, D.L. Hughley jokes about what it's like to be the first white to lose the presidency to a black guy -- "that's got to look bad at the country club."
