Obama Has Faith (and Tim)

Some folks—particularly the liberal, elite, East Coast "Gotcha!" media—seem to assume that most dyed-in-the-wool country stars would favor a Republican candidate. (And, frankly, so do we.) So when word got out that Toby Keith, the man behind such songs as "American Soldier" and "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (the Angry American)," was on the Obama bandwagon, the media were abuzz.

Well now, the Scene has heard a rumor that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were spotted at Al Gore's house Tuesday night for a post-debate fundraiser that was briefly attended by Obama himself—which would not be surprising, since we've also heard that Tim and Faith are committed Obama supporters.

Interestingly, the press pool reports made no mention of the celebrity couple's appearance. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

If Barack can just tie up the Charlie Daniels endorsement, I think he's got this thing licked.

Don't forget Obama has Ralph Stanley behind him too.

This is not surprising since McGraw has talked in the recent past about possibly running for Governor someday as a Democrat.

I remember hearing at the time when "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue" came out that Toby Keith is actually a registered Democrat.

It's best when celebs keep their fat mouths shut, because things like this turn fans off. I have already dispensed with my Toby Keith CDs and I'll soon be trashing my Tim and Faith ones too.
This isn't a surprise as they are avowed Democrats. What a horrible example they are setting for their beautiful little girls.

Erm, how about we NOT judge individuals based on their political parties? It takes all kinds, people. Life isn't black and white.

This dosent surprise me since both toby kieth and tim mcgraw are both punks. I dont look upon them as morale individuals. How anyone would vote for someone who supports gay rights and abortion is beyond me.

There are alot of posters who have failed at the whole democracy thing. I don't tend to crush CDs or stop listening to someone b/c of their political beliefs. Crazy me, I actually think it's healthy to have tension between various opinions and viewpoints and don't view everything as good versus evil.

I don't support anyone who supported Obama the one man madness machine who doesn't even have the respect or decency to pledge his hand over his heart for our National Anthem. And I especially do not make exceptions for celebrities or artists who have the innate and unfortunate ability to sway weak minded voters with their star power. Bye bye Mississippi Girl and later on Cherokee dude. And if I find out anymore of you who supported Obama I will personally do my best to get the word out for stabbing your country in the back by supporting such a devious cold snake. You can ride your Obama band wagon right on out of my pocketbook.

WHOAAAA!!!!
So, you change your taste in music because of politics? I mean you are so brainwashed by either a D or an R next to a candidates name that you actually stop supporting something you have liked? You are a puppet, you are not living in a democracy. You would vote for Hitler because he is a Republican and not a Democrat? What does that mean? It makes no sense, each election is different. You make your decision based on what is best for you and based on facts and not opinions.
I received an email yesterday of this beautiful prison Obama supported in Chicago that was more like a hotel, only to find out IT'S IN AUSTRIA!!!! Obama had nothign to do with it. The misinformation in this country is ludicrous. Instead of calling Tim and Faith names try to see their point of you. Why would two people making over $250,000 who will get hurt the most by Obama's tax policies unlike the Bush tax cuts vote for this man? Why?
This country is great because of people using their brains not by people supporting parties as if they were sports teams.
Grow up people.
