There is nothing wrong with Sarah Palin that experience and knowledge won't cure. What is Joe Biden's exuse?
What does Joe Biden need an excuse for? He's got experience just like McCain & Obama, he wasn't being hidden from the world, and he hasn't looked like a moron in every interview he's given. Stop looking at her party and pay attention to her answers - she's clueless!
"There is nothing wrong with Sarah Palin that experience and knowledge won't cure. What is Joe Biden's excuse?"
same for every high school student graduating this year....all they need is experience and knowledge to be Vice President by the end of this year...(aren't you supposed to be ready when you apply for the job of assistant manager? you can't say "hire me and I will get experience and knowledge while managing"))
"Who knew that Katie Couric could actually do influential journalism?"
In many ways Couric is the perfect media figure to ask Palin hard questions. She is a woman who has earned the job and standing that she has. Unlike Gibson or Brokaw, Couric could badger Palin without looking like a bully and she's smart enough to outmaneuver the Alaska gov. I actually think Couric could be a very good hard-news person, but the stilted "evening news" format doesn't play to her strengths as a broadcaster.
The true jump-the-shark moment may be the VP debate. Hard to imagine Palin doing well, and the odds are good she'll be horrible.
But it's also hard to imagine she'll remove herself (or be removed) from the ticket, as bad as that would make the McCain campaign look.
Palin can't drop out. Too much pure comedy lost to the banality of presidential elections. She must keep on keeping on so McCain will be screwed and we can all have a good hearty laugh about moose burgers: http://www.236.com/news/2008/09/26/sarah_do_not_listen_to_those_b_9168.php
It's for the good of the country.
If you want to compare apples to apples, Obama has LESS experience running anything compared to Palin. She is governing a whole state. Where has Obama been? In the Senate he has made more than 50% of his votes as "Here" or “Not Voting“. He can't even make a decision on votes. Yet you people want to question Palin's credentials. This is such a NON-Issue.
I am an independent and here to tell you there are NO DIFFERENCES in either republicrats OR the demopubs. Get educated and make a real decision yourself. Vote for a REAL change and vote for a REAL party that actually believes in the constitution. These 2 DO NOT. Be safe and God Bless!
Kathleen Parker's artilces do not belong on the pages of
National Review. With her anti-Palin article, I
believe she should be on staff at Dailykos.
When Parker runs a city and a state ... and,
successfully fight's corruption ... and gets a
9 billion dollar energy project for her state, and generates an 85% approval rating from her state,
maybe then her credibility, and opinion would be worth something.
Instead, she is merely a critic, who from the sidelines, has betrayed Republicans, and the readership of Nationalreview
P.S. PALIN HAS MORE EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY THAN OBAMA !!!
"Gov. Sarah Palin may be packing in the crowds in the Lower 48, but back home in Alaska her once-stratospheric popularity ratings are coming back to earth.
Her positive rating in Alaska fell to 68% this week from 82% on Sept. 2, shortly after Republican presidential hopeful John McCain named her as his running mate, according to a survey of likely voters by Anchorage pollster Ivan Moore. It’s the biggest dip since the Republican governor was elected in late 2006, and is especially precipitous among two voter groups: Democrats, where the number of likely voters who view her positively has plunged to 36% from 60% in three weeks, and independents, where her positives have dropped to 64% from 82% over the same time. Alaska Republicans still give Palin a nearly perfect positive rating of 93%.
Moore attributes the fall-off in support to several factors, particularly her shift to partisan attacks against Democrats and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama after hitting the campaign trail early this month. Alaskans have also begun to grouse about Palin’s role in Troopergate, the scandal involving her alleged attempts to get a former brother-in-law fired from his job as a state trooper, as well as the increased presence of McCain operatives throughout the state since she was named to the ticket.
“Everyone likes Sarah, but now we are wondering what we thought she was actually is what she was,” Moore said."

No matter how much knowledge your steer Sarah's way, she is still going to believe that the earth is 6000 years old, God wants everybody to pray for pipelines, and the elect will be gathered in Alaska when the rapture comes.
Palin is not merely inexperienced. She is actively stupid.

Funny, I seem to remember some crack at the Republican convention about the office not being a journey of personal discovery.

No, she's doing exactly what the McCain camp wants: bottoming out everyone's expectations about Palin so that when she makes it through the debate with no major screw-ups, everybody'll be impressed. It's the old Dan Quayle tactic.
I have already seen the upcoming debate referred to as Thursday Night Live.
For everyone who says but but but Obama has less executive experience than Palin, I see that. But Obama is smart. Palin isn't. A smart inexperienced person makes better decisions than a dumb experienced person when faced with the unprecedented. And as the past 8 years have shown, being governor doesn't mean you won't drive the nation into the ground as President. 17% approval rating, anyone?
