Will Jenna Bush be among the groundswell of drunks moving toward Obama?
In a completely unreliable poll released today, it appears Barack Obama owns a narrow lead over John McCain in this fall's presidential race.
The survey, released by The Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, indicates Obama's support among Southern barflies supersedes his showing among normal people. After compiling votes at its 13 bars in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Missouri, the chain has Obama leading McCain by 4,310 to 3,739 votes. Obama also has the lead in Nashville, with 253 votes to McCain’s 149.
It must be noted, however, that the chain is not exactly abiding by scientific methods. Voters must pay a $5 poll tax, which at least comes with a souvenir mug featuring their favorite candidate. Voting is also being conducted under what have been historically known as Chicago Rules, meaning one can vote early and often, so long as one's credit card is still operable.
