“ We’ve got a lot of people who love him here and who are working hard for him, but I’m not sure this is where I’d advise him to spend his time when you’ve got an Ohio which has got a swing state in this election right close by here.”Bredesen makes his comments even as Obama's campaign names a statewide director, brings in paid staff and talks about opening offices in Tennessee. Unlike the governor, Obama seems to care about down-ballot races in our state. Those candidates appreciate it if their presidential nominee at least pretends he's trying to win votes here. At some point soon, we should make a list of stupid things Bredesen has said and hold a contest to name the dumbest. Wouldn't that be fun?

After the work local Dems did in sticking up for him after the idiotic underground "bunker" turned out to require public money, Bredesen stabs us in the back with this garbage.
After 21 years of supporting this guy, all the way back to his losing mayoral campaign, I'm finished with Phil.
Woods, you're so damn negative. Be nice to Phil. He's just a robot.
We should defintely make a list of stupid things said and hold a contest to name the dumbest - but let's include blogs.
Anyone who doesn't agree with Bredesen that Obama's time will be better spent in the remaining days elsewhere isn't paying close enough attention to political reality. The person that can help Obama more here is Hillary Clinton, who beat Obama in the TN Democratic primary.
Thanks for pointing out that the supposed "titular head" of the Tennessee Democratic party seems hell-bent on discouraging Tennessee Democrats this election season.
A lot of other folks see this year as a perfect chance to help build the Democratic brand in Tennessee, particularly among young, new voters.
Why the sabotage, Phil? If you can't be constructive, why not just SHUT UP?
