between Metro Council members Emily Evans and Charlie Tygard over the Great Cumberland River Swimathon controversy. For those who haven't been following, Evans is inviting folks to swim across the Nashville potamic, while Tygard is suddenly concerned with safety (even though swimmers will wear life vests, the current will be tamed and safety boats will be on hand). But isn't there something more important to consider? Do we really want to see our Metro Council members in swim wear? That seems much more frightening than the raging river, if you ask me.
There are a few exceptions, though: Jason Holleman and Jerry Maynard in skivvies might not be too bad. Sean McGuire and Greg Adkins perhaps. I'm speaking for the ladies, of course. What do you think?
