A missive from the Tennessee Democratic Party a few minutes ago claims that Gov. Phil Bredesen, a superdelegate who really went out on a limb today to endorse Democratic nominee Barack Obama, "has also been widely hailed for encouraging other superdelegates to pledge their support sooner rather than later to begin uniting behind one candidate against Senator John McCain in the November General Election."
Actually, he hasn't been so much "hailed" as ridiculed for asking others to do what he was unwilling to do...until it was clear there'd be no risk to his decision.
