Media / Politics This Ford Veers a Little Left

A day late on this one, but Harold Ford Jr.—who, by the way, was recently spotted at the Belle Meade Country Club—is now an NBC analyst instead of a talking head at FOX News.
For some of Ford's more liberal critics, this move may count as too little, too late. But it'll be interesting to see if he can get a word in edgewise on Hardball.

I would suspect Ford's most liberal critics aren't going to overlook Ford's hawkish, socially conservative platforms simply because he will endure Chris Matthews' ego instead of Sean Hannity's.
Ford isn't totally new to NBC; he has been a frequent guest for years on both CNBC and Imus in the Morning. Ford's been a media whore enough to rival McCain and maybe Dick Morris. This changes nothing.
