Two more additions to the Nashville Film Festival lineup. First is one of the most striking local features to come down the pike in years: the coming-of-age drama Make-Out with Violence, directed by Middle Tennessee's Deagol Brothers (and co-written by and co-starring occasional Scene contributor Cody De Vos). A trailer has been circulating on YouTube since 2006, but the one above was cut recently by Nashville filmmaker Matt Riddlehoover. One word of warning before you look: you may want to see the movie (which combines elements of horror and teen comedy) knowing as little about it beforehand as possible.
The second is Tony Krantz's Otis, a satiric serial-killer-slash-vigilante shocker from Warner Home Video's DV horror label Raw Feed. The cast looks promising—Illeana Douglas, Daniel Stern, Kevin Pollak—and how can you turn down anything with former Sweathog Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs?
