Bob Clement's new TV ad sticks to the tax attack against Karl Dean. The ad would be hysterical for its ridiculous absurdities except for the fact that it's probably effective. There's a hairdresser who announces, "Bob Clement is going to improve our schools without higher taxes." Then in a brazen misrepresentation of a Tennessean article, which pointed out that no mayor in the history of Metro has ever gone a full term without raising the property tax, the ad proclaims, "Tax freeze would be a first" and credits the newspaper as the source for this mighty feat that Clement's vowing to accomplish.
The Clement campaign touts the ad in this press release.
