Clement Hits Dean for Defending 'Worst of Worst' Criminals

In this interview with Channel 2's Bob Mueller, Bob Clement slaps Karl Dean for "representing the worst of the worst criminals" as Metro public defender. It's the first time Clement has spoken about what he'd like to make a major issue in the runoff. "While he's represented the criminals, I've been fighting for the little guy," Clement says. Clement also defends his criticism of Dean as "telling the truth" about his "major differences" with Dean.
Dean says he'll defend himself against Clement's attacks in the runoff, but promises to run a positive campaign. Translation: Dean is going to sling mud at Clement for mudslinging.
