In his
latest TV ad, David Briley is back on that immigration thing. This time, though, there's no scary voice warning about crimes by drunken illegals. Instead, the ad stars Briley himself as the courageous statesman confronting a difficult issue.
It's a town-hall setting and Briley tells his attentive audience, "We need to raise the expectation of every child in this community and make our schools even better. We need to make Nashville America's greenest city. When we confront the challenges of illegal immigration, we need a common-sense approach, not policies that sweep the challenges under the rug and leave them for the next generation."
Here's the latest
email from the spunky Briley campaign. It's underfunded but still holding out hope for a better-than-last-place finish.
