So I'm driving to work this morning, minding my own business, when I come up behind a car stopped in the middle of Eatons Creek Road. There was no traffic, no signal, and I couldn't figure out why it was just sitting there, so I eased alongside the car to see what was going on. There's a dude on the hood of this car banging on the windshield, and a woman yelling at me through her open window to call the cops. Dude jumps off the hood, tries to get inside the car in question and the woman behind the wheel accelerates and drags the guy a few feet with his arm stuck in the window.
I've got my 4-month-old critter with me, so I lock the doors and start to dial 911 when, all of a sudden, the guy pulls the woman out of the car, gets in and speeds off. Next thing I know, this chick asks me to take her downtown to court, which—probably stupidly—I do. Long story short, episodes like this, which could have gotten much uglier had someone not come along, are why this story
