After this week's Scene piece on efforts to save the 70-year-old Franklin Cinema in downtown Franklin, we've had some calls from people wanting to know where and whom to contact to offer help. Try calling Mary Pearce of the Heritage Foundation, the group leading the charge, at 591-8500 ext. 15, or send an email to mpearce@historicfranklin.com.

"We poll our membership each year on priorities, and the top priority has repeatedly been getting the theater reopened," says David Morris, a longtime Franklin resident who serves on the Heritage Foundation board. "It's closer to getting done than it's ever been."
