Is Price Right for Devil Rays?

As expected, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays used their top pick in major league baseball's draft today to snag Vanderbilt ace David Price.
Meanwhile, the Commodores' closer, Casey Weathers, was the 8th overall pick in the draft. He went to the Colorado Rockies.
Meanwhile, no fewer than three Tennessee Vols were chosen among the first 40: catcher Jonathan Arencibia, center fielder Julio Borbon, and pitcher James Adkins. Given the Vols' apparent talent and lackluster record this season, perhaps it's not surprising that Rod Delmonico, the fourth-winningest coach in the history of the SEC, is now jobless. He'll hardly be penniless, though. Continuing the pattern it began with fired basketball coaches, the university will pay Delmonico for the three years remaining on his contract. Nice unemployment, if you can get it.
