Now comes Idea No. 9: Clement vows to "lead a comprehensive effort to eradicate graffiti and pick up trash." He envisions "neighborhood cleanup days" in which the citizens of Nashville would sacrifice their leisure time to collect garbage.

"A clean community is a safe community," the mayoral hopeful is actually quoted as saying in his news release.
