Safety in Numbers

Posted by on Mon, Oct 30, 2006 at 11:22 AM

A new survey of the safest cities in the U.S. compiled by Morgan Quitno Press ranks Nashville 333rd out of 371 (between Macon, Ga. and Rochester, N.Y.). Bob Corker's Chattanooga doesn't fare much better, coming in at 315th. Interestingly, the two most dangerous cities in the country duked it out in this year's World Series, with St. Louis winning both baseball's championship and the survey's dubious distinction. Murfreesboro tops all Tennessee cities at 166th.
