Faint Praise

Posted By on Mon, Sep 11, 2006 at 10:21 AM

This morning's New York Times has a piece by Bernard Holland about the new Schermerhorn symphony hall. In a classic case of New York condescension, Holland damns the hall with faint praise and suggests that the theme of the building frieze, rather than Orpheus and Eurydice, be "Ernest Tubb or the Everly Brothers." Don't bother to read it.
