Our friend Bruce Dobie has re-emerged in print over at the
City Paper, with a bulldog of an
op-ed on what the Nashville Chamber of Commerce should be looking for in a new director. A new Chamber leader, writes Dobie, should understand "the people, culture, institutions, character and power structure of the city" and "be able to develop an agenda that is both good for Chamber member business and for the city." Hard-hitting (if grammatically challenged) stuff.
The piece has a curious tagline at the bottom: "Bruce Dobie is a local entrepreneur and a former newspaper reporter." Perhaps the
Scene gig was all just a bad dream...
