To mark the start of my diet today, I feel a burning need to share with you my top ten culinary cravings in Nashville. 1. The Choo Choo Roll at Samurai Sushi.
I have died and Heaven is a sushi bar.2. The red velvet cake at Ham n' Goody's.
Understand, peeps, that I am a cake baking maniac and I'm going crazy
trying to figure out the recipe for this one. Buy one of these for your next birthday celebration. You will thank me, I guarantee.3. The Lucayan Chicken Salad at Calypso Cafe.
Dieting never tasted so good.4. Anything on the menu at Martha's.
As far as the food goes, Martha's is the best restaurant in Nashville. So says I.5. The deep fried cookie dough egg rolls at Jackson's.
A great way to end a date.
6. A Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and hand cut fries at Penn Station.
Worth every fantastic bite.7. A scoop of Better Batter with brownie mix-in at Maggie Moo's.
We go to Maggie Moo's about once a month and this is the only thing any of us ever order. 8. The Monte Cristo at Copper Kettle
I give it a thumbs up. Way
up!9. The shrimp cocktail at La Terraza
Served in a glass of tomato gazpacho laden with fresh cilantro and avocado slices, it is unbeatable. La Terraza is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant.10. Wet ribs at Corky's.
I have been to many a barbeque restaurant in Nashville and Corky's ribs are my favorite. The meat falls right off the bone. Yum.
Feel free to add your favorites in the comments. I could always use some new ideas... at least, I can once I lose ten pounds.
