The incomparable Neil Young waxed poetic about the Ryman (and also chatted about more trivial matters like his new album, his father's death, and his recent brain surgery) in an interview on NPR's Weekend Edition this morning. Here's Neil on the mother church:

"It sounds like the inside of an old have this oval audience wrapped around this beautiful stage, and the sound of the place - it's all wood, and it just sounds like God in there."

The on-air piece ran about 15 minutes, but online you can hear the full 45-minute conversation, and also stream all songs from the new album Prairie Wind.
