The incomparable Neil Young waxed poetic about the Ryman (and also chatted about more trivial matters like his new album, his father's death, and his recent brain surgery) in an interview on NPR's Weekend Edition

"It sounds like the inside of an old guitar...you have this oval audience wrapped around this beautiful stage, and the sound of the place - it's all wood, and it just sounds like God in there."
