Oh. My. God. Click here to see a trailer you will never, ever see in a U.S. megaplex. This is the second film in Lars von Trier's "U.S.A. Trilogy," which started with Dogville, and it looks like the same barebones Our Town-with-rabies style. But if that movie frothed up a foaming-mouthed hatred unusual even for the polarizing von Trier, this one'll have the politically squeamish storming the box office with torches and pitchforks. At any rate, this should satisfy everyone who complained about how timidly Guess Who tiptoed around issues of race. I hereby predict this will be New York Press critic Armond White's favorite movie of 2005.
