News from the Hill

Tennessee House Bill HB775, Rep. Chris Clem's measure banning gay/lesbian adoption, was defeated by an 11-9 vote in the Children and Family Affairs Committee down at the legislature today. Word is that House Speaker Naifeh took the unusual step of speaking to the committee and voting against the bill. Score one for civilized society.
