Odds and Ends

Posted by on Fri, Feb 18, 2005 at 4:18 PM

So I found this last week…and by “found” I mean “someone emailed me the link and then I spent way to much time stalking people on here.”

Maybe everyone already knows about this. But then again, maybe not. Either way, this website:

fundrace.org

allows you to type in your address (or any address, really) and see the names, occupations and addresses of all of your neighbors who donated money to a political party or campaign.

newsmeat.com does the same thing, but with names instead of addresses entered. It’s better if you want to look up celebrities or acquaintances.

I didn’t know this was legal. I guess I didn’t know if this was illegal, either. But somehow, it just seems wrong. But I type names and addresses in anyway, wondering who I'll find. Today I learned that my high school track coach is Republican. Interesting. Actually, not interesting at all. But I bothered to look him up anway. I need help.

Of equal importance is this article: Man blows balloons with ears.

And we can’t forget that even Bugs Bunny had to get plastic surgery to stay current. At least he didn’t try the Botox. When will Hollywood stop pressuring its stars to be perfect?!?

This is a good album. Charlotte Hatherley is the guitarist for Ash and has put out a nice collection of upbeat, poppy indie rock songs. She has remained my in car’s CD player for a week and a half now. You can watch the video for her single, Bastardo here.
